On Wednesday morning, President-elect Donald Trump officially named former Texas Gov. Rick Perry as his pick to lead the Energy Department, which dictates U.S. energy policy and controls the country's nuclear stockpile. During his run for the 2012 Republican nomination, Perry famously forgot the name of the Energy Department while listing off agencies he planned to eliminate as president. On Tuesday, Trump reportedly offered the position of interior secretary to Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-Mont.). The freshman congressman, who has clashed with environmentalists, reportedly has yet to accept the position, which oversees federal lands. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rogers (R-Wash.) is also said to be in the running for interior secretary.
