Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee said Monday evening they've found no evidence of collusion between Russia and President Trump's campaign during the 2016 election and are ending their investigation. Rep. Mike Conaway (R-Texas) said Republicans on the committee agree with U.S. intelligence agencies that "the Russians did commit active measures against our election in '16, and we think they will do that in the future," but "we disagree with the narrative that they were trying to help Trump." Democrats objected, saying the committee did not subpoena important files, including bank documents, or interview some major witnesses. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said the committee's GOP majority "placed the interests of protecting the president over protecting the country, and history will judge its actions harshly."
