Rep. Lou Barletta (R-Pa.) won Tuesday's Pennsylvania Republican primary for U.S. Senate, pitting him against Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) in November, while at least seven women won Democratic primaries for House seats. At least three of those women — Madeleine Dean, Chrissy Houlahan, and Mary Gay Scanlon — are likely to win in November, cracking the all-male stranglehold on Pennsylvania's congressional delegation. In gubernatorial races, Pennsylvania state Sen. Scott Wagner (R) will take on Gov. Tom Wolf (D), Oregon state Rep. Knute Buehler will challenge Gov. Kate Brown (D), Nebraska state Sen. Bob Krist (D) will battle Gov. Pete Ricketts (R), and in Idaho, Lt. Gov. Brad Little (R) will compete against Democratic state Rep. Paulette Jordan to replace retiring Gov. Butch Otter (R).
