A judge has ordered Lindsay Lohan to go to rehab, not jail, but the perennially troubled starlet isn't thrilled with the decision. Apparently broke, she says she can't afford a three-month stint at the Betty Ford Clinic estimated to cost at least $50,000. Enter two unlikely sponsors: PETA and the porn industry. Animal rights group PETA has offered to cover $10,000 of the bill if she'll go vegan in rehab, and will cough up another $10,000 if Lohan gives up eating animals for an entire year. Meanwhile, an adult website called Tube8.com has reportedly offered $50,000 if Lohan agrees to serve as a marketing consultant to offer "insights into the further mainstreaming of pornography." What's a fading starlet to do? (Watch an E! report about Lohan's predicament)

Take the PETA money and enjoy a a healthy vegan lifestyle: "A crucial part of any recovery is showing charity to others," says PETA head Michelle Cho, as quoted on E!, and "one way...is [being] kind to animals, the Earth, and your own body." Going vegan, and taking the PETA cash in turn, could all be part of her larger rehab efforts. She'll "never regret it."
"PETA or Porn: Who's Footing Lindsay Lohan's Rehab Bill Today?"

Sure, but the porn job offers one small advantage: Lohan "is slated to play porn icon Linda Lovelace in her upcoming biopic Inferno" says Radar. Working as a marketing consultant for an adult website, "she'll be able to research her role on the site" and have "unlimited access to their porn collection." Arguably, that's an "added bonus" she won't get from giving up meat and dairy.

Both PETA and the porn company are just exploiting Lohan: Clearly, these "sponsors" just want to coopt Lohan's plight to further their own agendas, says Sabrina Brody at the Examiner. It's just not cool, and Lohan should say no to both "unpleasant endorsement" offers. The porn industry is hardly a haven for anyone looking to avoid drugs and alcohol, while PETA's offer is just "self-righteous" and expedient. "The judge should just remind Lohan that if she doesn't want to go to rehab, there's always jail, where the poor people go."
