Obama cabinet member claims seizure caused hit and run
John Bryson, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, who allegedly crashed his car into two vehicles in Los Angeles on Saturday before leaving the scene, says a seizure caused the accidents. According to a police statement, Bryson rear-ended one vehicle and hit another with his Lexus at a train pass — and then drove away. Only minor injuries were reported. Bryson then allegedly caused another accident in a nearby city and was later "found alone and unconscious behind the wheel of his vehicle." The U.S. Commerce department says Bryson was taken to a hospital where he remained overnight for examination. He has since been released and has returned to Washington, D.C. Bryson has not been formally charged. The investigation is ongoing.
