WATCH: Southwest Flight 345's landing gear collapses in New York
The Boeing 737 skidded to a stop after its front wheels buckled right after landing, shutting down LaGuardia

At about 5:40 p.m. on Monday, Southwest Flight 345 landed at New York's LaGuardia Airport from Nashville, Tenn., with 143 passengers and six crew on board. Just after the wheels touched down, the front landing gear collapsed, according to witnesses and LaGuardia officials. (Watch an Associated Press report above.)

The airplane skidded to a stop, and emergency vehicles rushed out to spray the nose section with flame-retardant foam. Ten people — six passengers, four crew members — were injured, according to LaGuardia General Manager Thomas Bosco, but none of the injuries were serious. The crash closed down the airport for more than an hour, though, delaying hundreds of flights. LaGuardia has only two runways.
