The daily gossip: Kim Kardashian slams Katie Couric on Instagram, and more
5 top pieces of celebrity gossip — from the latest Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark injury to the old characters rumored to reemerge in Star Wars: Episode VII

1. Kim Kardashian slams Katie Couric on Instagram
Hell hath no fury like a Kardashian scorned. In an interview with In Touch that was published Thursday, Katie Couric openly wondered why the Kardashians were so famous, adding that she suspects "it's mostly teenage girls that are interested." In less than a day, Kardashian fired back by posting an Instagram image of a gift sent by Couric after the birth of Kardashian's daughter North West. "#IHateFakeMediaFriends," posted Kardashian, adding, "#MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalkShit" — a hashtag that's as scathing as it is unlikely to start trending. [The Wrap]

2. Somebody else got hurt while acting in the Spider-Man musical
Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, which is seriously still called that, has claimed yet another victim. During a show on Thursday night, production was halted after dancer Daniel Curry got his leg caught in a "trapdoor-like piece of stage machinery" (or, perhaps, an even more fiendish device created by the Green Goblin). The Hollywood Reporter says that Curry is already in stable condition, so the show is free to continue injuring other actors while he recovers. [The Hollywood Reporter]

3. Joe Kosinski is directing a Twilight Zone movie
You are traveling through another movie theater — a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. Ordinarily, it might be a journey into a wondrous land of imagination — but in this case, it's not, because it's playing a movie adaptation of Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone, which was already turned into a movie in 1983. Next stop, yet another Twilight Zone movie, which will be directed by Joseph Kosinski, that guy behind that Tron sequel nobody liked. [The Hollywood Reporter]

4. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Emperor Palpatine might show up in Star Wars: Episode VII
Do you have a bad feeling about the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII? Then the rumor that the ghosts of both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Emperor Palpatine will appear in the film aren't likely to make you any more optimistic. Latino Review first reported the rumor, adding that Ewan McGregor might return to play Kenobi because Sir Alec Guinness, who played the character in the original trilogy, died in 2000. And why let a little thing like that get in the way of making a bunch of money? [FirstShowing.net]

5. Two and a Half Men's Angus T. Jones is no longer a half man
They grow up so fast. A mere decade has passed since CBS' inexplicably popular sitcom Two and a Half Men first premiered, but the half-man of the title has since sprouted into full manhood. E! Online recently spotted the actor walking around Los Angeles with a full beard, a development that would probably necessitate a title change, if baby-faced cast member Ashton Kutcher didn't already have the "half man" thing covered.
