The tornadoes' wrath
Tornadoes ripped across the Midwest this weekend, razing several Illinois towns

More than 80 tornadoes whipped across the Midwest on Sunday, with the storms doing their worst damage across Illinois. At least six people are reported dead, and Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn declared seven counties as state disaster areas.

Hardest hit were southern Illinois towns including Washington, Brookport, Unionville, and Nashville. Similarly destructive storms raced up the state, delaying a Bears game in Chicago and forcing O'Hare International Airport to cancel more than 270 flights.

Now, residents of the decimated Illinois towns try to pick up the pieces. Below, a selection of photos from the aftermath.
