What Kenneth the page and Bobby Jindal have in common

Is Jack McBrayer, who plays Kenneth the page on '30 Rock,' destined to play Bobby Jindal on SNL?

The Internet has spoken, said Steve Johnson in the Chicago Tribune. Bloggers watched Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal's response to President Obama's Tuesday speech, and declared Jindal to be another Kenneth the page, "the earnest country boy come to New York in NBC's 30 Rock. The only question is whether Jack McBrayer, who plays Kenneth, will follow up 30 Rock creator and star Tina Fey's impersonation of Sarah Palin by lampooning Jindal on Saturday Night Live.

That's "highly likely," said Ryan Tate in Gawker. McBrayer did a spoof of Jindal's speech (click here for the video) for a test run of Jimmy Fallon's Late Night. If McBrayer's first crack at a volley of "self-deprecating jokes about his voice double," is any indication, SNL is bound to be the next stop for the "naive, overearnest" Kenneth.

It looks like Tina Fey's "undue influence" on national politics may continue unabated, said Mary Katherine Ham in The Weekly Standard. The Jindal-Kenneth comparison might not seem "terribly unfair" if you know Jindal only from that speech. But anyone familiar with his "considerable" skills and mastery of complex policy details knows the caricature is completely off the mark.
