Their story has been retold many times, notably in Arthur Penn’s 1967 film, but even that landmark work didn’t earn the last word. In this four-hour retelling, stars Holliday Grainger and Emile Hirsch get solid support from William Hurt and Holly Hunter, while director Bruce Beresford has aimed for historical accuracy.
