1. Sharknado is getting a theatrical release

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the movie theater, Regal Cinemas has announced that Sharknado — the "so bad it's bad" sensation that aired on SyFy two weeks ago — will earn a one-night theatrical release at roughly 200 theaters across the country. "If the internet reactions to this film are any indication, then our moviegoers are primed and ready to enjoy Sharknado larger than life in cinemas," said Chris Sylvia, the director of marketing for Regal.
