In this preview clip from Amanda Knox's first TV interview since her 2011 return to the United States, the 25-year-old discusses her time in prison, her acquittal recently being overturned by an Italian court, and how she's trying to return to a normal life.

"I want the truth to come out. I want to be reconsidered as a person," Knox says tearfully.

Knox, who was charged in the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher, her roommate while studying abroad in Italy, spent nearly four years in jail before being acquitted by an Italian court. Knox was allowed to return home to Seattle in October 2011. But her saga isn't over yet: Just this March, Italy's highest court overturned the acquittal and ordered a retrial.

Knox's memoir, Waiting to Be Heard, is out today. The book release coincides with the airing of Knox's full interview with Diane Sawyer tonight at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
