What's the failing Postal Service's backup plan if that whole mail-delivery thing doesn't work out? Apparently, it's to give you a fashion makeover.

As the struggling service continues to lose a reported $40 million a day, the USPS has announced that it's teaming with Ohio garment company the Waconah Group to create its very own fashion line. Dubbed "Rain Heat & Snow" — a rather on-the-nose reference to the Postal Service's motto — the line will feature "wearable electronics" and will be sold at department and specialty stores.

Further details on the line are scant, though Postal Service Corporate Licensing Manager Steven Mills said in a statement that the venture will "put the Postal Service on the cutting edge of functional fashion." So, says Caity Weaver at Gawker, even though you may not be able to get a letter delivered to you on a Saturday anymore, you have reason to rejoice: "The unattainable glamor of the mailman is within your sweaty grasp."
