At the Emmys last Sunday, host Tina Fey warned the on-the-rebound Taylor Swift to stay away from Michael J. Fox's son Sam — a sentiment that has been wholly endorsed by Michael J. Fox. "No. No… Just back off," said Fox in an interview at Vulture. "Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right?" he added, suggesting the title "Sam, You Piece of Shit," which we hope will not become another inescapable radio hit for Swift later this year.

Set your rhetorical phasers to stun: In a recent interview, Star Trek's George Takei boldly revealed that former co-star William Shatner was the "biggest douche" on the show. "Everything revolves around the captain," said Takei at Radar Online, explaining that Shatner would routinely ask the show's directors to point the camera at him more often, leaving his co-stars off-screen. Ohhhhhhh myyyyyyyyyyyyy, indeed.

3. Lena Dunham pitches the best-sounding reality show ever

HBO's Girls features sex scenes graphic enough to make even the most jaded viewer blush, so it's hard to imagine how NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams — whose daughter Allison Williams stars in the series — feels about seeing her in several of the (literally) compromising positions required for her role. But according to BuzzFeed, series creator Lena Dunham wants everyone to be able to see exactly how awkward Williams can be. "I've often talked about how I wanted to have a 'Brian Williams Cam' where there was a camera on him watching the sex scenes, and we get to see it play in real time," said Dunham in an interview on The Daily Show, suggesting a spin-off that might actually be more entertaining than the original.

4. Singer Jonathan Coulton says Glee ripped off his "Baby Got Back" arrangement

With public interest in its once-popular musical series Glee continuing to wane, you'd think Fox would be happy just to see the show making headlines again. But not, perhaps, for allegedly stealing songs from a beloved indie musician. The AV Club reports that singer Jonathan Coulton has accused Glee of ripping off his smooth-jazz version of Sir-Mix-A-Lot's immortal classic "Baby Got Back" — fairly convincingly, since the songs are essentially identical. Glee's creative team has not issued a response to Coulton's complaint, presumably because they're trying to find the perfect song to blandly cover in response (we humbly suggest Billy Joel's "An Innocent Man").

5. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo earns a GLAAD nomination

TLC's "rednecks bein' rednecks" series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has been attacked by pretty much everybody as a tobacco stain on the otherwise spotless world of reality television. But GLAAD has found something to admire in the series: The family's open-mindedness toward their HIV-positive, openly gay "Uncle Poodle." "These are the stories and images that bring us closer to equality," says a GLAAD representative at Yahoo! News, offering the first and only positive review of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo since the series hit the air.
