Wall Street firms and executives have tightened security measures in response to the Occupy Wall Street protests. The New York City Police Department is sending out e-mails to advise firms like Goldman Sachs and Bank of America where marching protesters are headed, while executives are hiring private security guards. “It’s fair to say they’re concerned,” said Richard Plansky of the Kroll security firm.

The fate of Afghan Christians
There is not a single Christian church or school left in Afghanistan, says a new State Department report. The last church was razed in 2010, and today Afghan Christians—who make up less than 1 percent of the population—are afraid to “state their beliefs or gather openly to worship,” the report says.
