Gossip: Michael Douglas
After aggressive treatment, doctors have told Douglas that he is cancer-free.
Michael Douglas says aggressive treatment has eradicated the tumor in his throat and doctors tell him he is now cancer-free. The actor, 66, said on NBC’s Today show that he lost 32 pounds and most of his strength during two months of intensive radiation and chemotherapy treatments, but that the worst is over. “I feel good, relieved,” he said. “I’m eating like a pig.” Tests have revealed no signs of cancer, he said, although he’ll continue to undergo testing every month.
