The filmmakers—author Sebastian Junger (The Perfect Storm) and photojournalist Tim Hetherington—spent many months with the unit, capturing the soldiers’ tedium and terror, courage and camaraderie as they battled their elusive enemy and labored to win civilian hearts and minds. The film won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance this year, before a limited theatrical release. Monday, Nov. 29, at 9 p.m., National Geographic Channel
