Rocker Pete Doherty was kicked off a stage in Munich, Germany, this week, after he launched into a rendition of the Nazi national anthem. Seconds after singing the line “Deutschland, Deutschland über alles,” Doherty was loudly booed and shouted down by concertgoers, before promoters ordered him to leave the stage. A spokesman for the singer said Doherty sang the verse in error, and was “unaware of the controversy surrounding the anthem.”
