A California man who deliberately walked into a fire at the annual Burning Man festival in Nevada has failed to win compensation for his burns. Anthony Beninati admits he walked into the embers of the festival’s closing bonfire in 2005, suffering burns to his hands and legs when he tripped. A court this week ruled that organizers had not been negligent, saying that the risk of being burned was “obvious.”
