Presidential Inauguration
The inauguration of Barack Obama will draw a virtually unprecedented level of television coverage, starting at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, when HBO will open its feed to share ceremonies at the Lincoln Memorial with cable and satellite viewers. On Inauguration Day, ABC, CBS, and NBC—along with cable news networks CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC—will start broadcasting by 10:30 a.m., cover the incoming president’s oath of office at noon, and continue into the evening.
