A new AP-GfK survey found that 8 in 10 Amercians fear that the financial meltdown on Wall Street will hit them directly, although 45 percent of respondents still opposed the $700 billion market rescue bill wending its way through Congress. Also in the survey, conducted Sept. 27-30, 38 percent supported the plan and 16 percent were unsure. (AP in BusinessWeek.com)
