Exxon Mobil unveiled plans to build a liquified natural gas terminal 20 miles off the New Jersey shore, a $1 billion project that would provide 1.2 billion cubic feet a day to the East Coast. Exxon has faced resistance to land-based terminals from environmentalists and local residents. But the floating-terminal plan got a nod of support from the New Jersey chapter of the Sierra Club, which said an offshore platform reduced the threat of terrorist sabotage. (AP in CNNMoney.com)
