Show of the week
Few other documentarians are as daring as Errol Morris, director of The Thin Blue Line and The Fog of War. In this new six-part series, he boldly reopens the case of Frank Olson, a CIA scientist whose fatal fall from a New York City hotel window in 1953 could have been murder or suicide, but most certainly was linked to the spy agency’s early experiments with LSD. Olson’s haunted son, Eric, shares his search for answers while Morris weaves in dramatic re-enactments starring Peter Sarsgaard. The combination makes for a long, strange true-crime trip.
