We all know how the catchy jingle goes: "Oh I'd love to be an Oscar Meyer weiner / That is what I'd truly like to be / 'cause if I were an Oscar Meyer weiner / my parent company would be pulling me from shelves for inaccurate labeling that failed to note a potential allergen."

A classic tune and, had I not fudged the lyrics, a prophetic one, too. That's because Kraft Foods is yanking 96,000 pounds of traditional Oscar Meyer weiners from shelves, since some packages may contain a few misplaced cheese dogs. According to the USDA, which announced the recall, the cheese dogs contain milk — "a known allergen" — yet the packaging on the standard dogs doesn't list milk as an ingredient.
