Italian officials are launching an investigation after it was revealed that a woman had become pregnant with twins from another couple, reportedly due to an embryo mix-up at a fertility treatment clinic in Rome.

The woman was among four different couples who underwent the same treatment at the clinic in December. However, it's unclear if others are also pregnant with the wrong kids. On March 27, a "genetic incompatibility" was discovered between the embryos and the parents in question, reports AFP.
