Jones announced his departure on his Twitter page Tuesday, the same day it was reported that TBS picked up a 30-minute pilot by Jones and his wife, fellow Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee, plus 10 episodes. The still untitled series will follow a couple and their two children who take a road trip to Florida, Variety reports. Jones and Bee wrote the show — inspired by their own family escapades — and will serve as executive producers. Jones will also play the father, Nate.

Although Jones plans to exit later this year, a Comedy Central spokesperson told Variety that Bee will remain on The Daily Show.
