Hulu might finally offer an ad-free subscription

Sick of watching commercials on Hulu? Soon enough, you might be able to put your money where your mouth is.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Hulu is considering supplementing its standard subscription service, which costs $7.99 per month, with an ad-free subscription service, which would reportedly be priced between $12 and $14. Hulu's advertisements have made it a viable business — but they've also been the target of criticism, since rival streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime don't require users to watch commercials.
