Let's be honest: Running 26.2 miles is kind of insane. Yet hundreds of thousands of amateur runners sign up for this masochistic test of endurance.

If you are one of these nuts, congratulations! You're in for a world of mental and physical exhaustion. You'll want to stop. You'll want to cry. You'll want to poop or vomit, or both (don't wait on those). You'll want to lie down and never, ever get up again. And yet, if you just put one foot in front of the other, I promise you, you will finish and it will be awesome.
