Feel like you've seen everything on Netflix? Here are 100 under-appreciated movies and TV shows you can stream right now.
I watch a lot of movies. I always have. And as this website's film and TV critic, I probably always will.
But I've also run into the same problem pretty much everybody with a streaming account has run into: There are so many movies, and nothing I want to watch. Really, there's nothing worse than settling down to watch a movie and spending an hour browsing around a Netflix menu, desperately trying to find something that piques your interest.
So a couple years ago, I decided I'd try to ensure no one wastes an evening browsing again. Today marked the 100th installment in my "Streaming Gems" podcast series — a collection of brief podcasts introducing you to great movies and TV shows you can watch from the comfort of your couch. Every week, I scour Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime for an overlooked gem, and take a few minutes to explain why it's worth your time.

This week, I'm kicking off a month of horror films from around the world with Japan's 1964 ghost story anthology Kwaidan:
But that's just one of many streaming gems I've discussed over the course of the podcast. Looking for something the whole family can enjoy? Try the gorgeous Irish animated film Song of the Sea. Looking for a weird, riveting sci-fi thriller? Try The Machine. Looking for a sparkling romantic comedy? Try Populaire, a French film that tackles the bygone sport of competitive speed-typing.
Looking for something else entirely? I've probably covered that too. Click here for an archive of all 100 podcasts. You're bound to find something you'll be eager to watch this weekend.
