Here's how you can spend a luxurious night at the Eiffel Tower
Why stay in a Paris hotel when you can spend the night in the Eiffel Tower?
The rental company HomeAway is turning part of the iconic landmark's first floor into a luxurious apartment, available to one very lucky winner and five of their family members or friends during next month's UEFA Euro 2016 soccer tournament. The one-night stay includes dinner and breakfast, and the winner will also receive airfare and three extra nights in Paris at another HomeAway vacation rental, bound to disappoint since it's not the Eiffel Tower.
"We think the Eiffel Tower is the perfect place to make the most unforgettable vacation memories of all," Brian Sharples, CEO and co-founder of HomeAway, said in a statement. "So many of our travelers fall in love with their vacation rental homes just as much as their vacation destination itself. This is probably the most special 'home' we've had the privilege of offering in this fun and exciting way." To win this ultimate vacation, go to HomeAway's website and fill out a contest entry, which asks a very important question: "What would you do if the Eiffel Tower apartment was all yours for the night?" I would charge tourists admission to see the fancy apartment up close, use the money to go on a shopping spree at Chanel, and then come up with a way to convince HomeAway to let me stay another night, but that's just me.
