Donald Trump has been elected president of the United States, The Associated Press reports. Trump won Pennsylvania and its 20 electoral votes — a state that had not voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 1988 — in addition to the three key swing states of Florida, Ohio, and North Carolina. Trump won Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. He has also claimed four of Nebraska's split electoral votes and one of Maine's split electoral votes. Trump's electoral vote total currently stands at 278 electoral votes, with some races still too close to call.
