Trump claims 'total and complete vindication' after Comey testimony

President Trump was absent from Twitter during the testimony of former FBI Director James Comey on Thursday, but the president reacted Friday morning, tweeting:

Trump's personal lawyer on Thursday also highlighted Comey's confession that he gave a personal memo about an interaction with Trump to a friend to be leaked to the press and provoke a special prosecutor for the Russia investigation. Trump's tweet is more than an expression of irritation, though: As Comey testified under oath, it is an accusation of perjury, which is "risky for Trump," AFP's Andrew Beatty said. "It offends [the] FBI, invites more leaks, and strengthens demands that [Trump] himself testify under oath."
