Donald Trump Jr. admitted to meeting with a Russian lawyer to get dirt about Hillary Clinton during his father's campaign, although he claimed to have learned nothing of value from the source. But as National Review's Jonah Goldberg put it Friday: "If you break into a bank only to find the safe empty, that doesn't mean you did nothing wrong."

Fox News' Brit Hume had a different idea, though. "Better analogy," he offered, "is if you hold a meeting to plan a bank robbery and nothing comes of it. No plan, no robbery."
