Hundreds of students across Denver, Colorado, walked out of class Tuesday to protest President Trump's decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which protects individuals who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children, Fox 31 Denver reports.

Students from West High School and North High School marched into city parks to protest, Fox 31 Denver reports, adding: "Several of the students held signs in support of DACA."

There are an estimated 17,000 young people enrolled in DACA in Colorado. Earlier this week, the University of Colorado announced that the school will continue to admit students "without regard to their immigration status," the Boulder Daily Camera reports.
