"Let's try this my way," the villainous Count Olaf announces to kick off Netflix's new trailer for the second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events, released Monday. The series' trademark baddie, played by Neil Patrick Harris, gleefully introduces the continued unlucky adventures set to befall the Baudelaire orphans, promising they'll be "worse!" than the first season.

While season one covered the first four books in the series of children's novels the show is based on, season two is expected to adapt books five through nine. As Olaf proudly proclaims, the second installment will contain even more "violence, fire, and despair" than the first.
