Reality Winner receives 5 years, 3 months in prison for leaking classified info

On Thursday, a federal judge in Georgia sentenced former National Security Agency contractor Reality Winner to five years and three months in prison, after she pleaded guilty to leaking classified intelligence to the news site The Intercept.

Winner, a 26-year-old Air Force veteran, pleaded guilty in June. She is the first person prosecuted by the Trump administration for leaking to the media, NPR reports.
