Even as the situation in Ukraine deteriorated swiftly last month, nearly three-fourths of Russians said Moscow should not intervene in the conflict, according to one poll.

In the survey, conducted on February 1 and 2 by Russia's chief polling firm, All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center, 73 percent of Russians said their country should not interfere, while only 15 percent agreed Russian forces should "support Ukrainian colleagues in suppressing illegal attempts to seize power."

The poll did come before demonstrators ousted Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych though, so it's possible support for intervention has changed since then.
