Giuliani: NYPD cops were wrong to turn their backs on de Blasio

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has spoken up in defense of Bill de Blasio, the current occupant of the mayor's office, who has been the subject of an extraordinarily hostile campaign by members of the New York Police Department, many of whom blame the mayor for stoking anti-cop resentment that led to the murders of two police officers earlier this month. The latest salvo came this weekend, when angry officers turned their backs on de Blasio as he gave a speech at the funeral for one of the officers.
