Before one of the Dallas shooting suspects was killed during a standoff with police, he said he was "upset" about Black Lives Matter, "the recent police shootings," and "white people," Dallas Police Chief David Brown said at a Friday morning press conference. Authorities have identified the suspect as 25-year-old Micah X. Johnson, and the Army said Friday that he served as an enlisted soldier and completed a tour in Afghanistan. During the standoff, Johnson also stated that he "wanted to kill white people, especially white officers," and that he was not "affiliated with any groups." Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings said Friday morning that officers used explosives to "blast him out" and that the suspect was "taken out" by an explosive device. Three other suspects have reportedly been taken into custody.
