Two months after former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson sued the network's then-CEO Roger Ailes for sexual harassment, Fox has settled with Carlson for $20 million, the company confirmed Tuesday. "I'm ready to move on to the next chapter of my life in which I will redouble my efforts to empower women in the workplace," Carlson said in a statement. Fox also issued a public apology to Carlson, regretting that "Gretchen was not treated with the respect that she and all our colleagues deserve." Two other women have also reportedly reached settlements with the company; Ailes has consistently denied all allegations of sexual harassment, and resigned from the company in July. Also Tuesday, it was announced that longtime anchor Greta Van Susteren would be leaving Fox News, though her next venture was not specified, and a specific reason for her departure was not given.
