A gunman opened fire at an outdoor concert near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas late Sunday, killing at least 59 people and injuring more than 520 in one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history. The suspect, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, was found dead on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel, apparently of a self-inflicted wound; SWAT team members breached the room and found 23 firearms inside, including two rifles with scopes on tripods in the window. Police said 19 additional guns were recovered at his Mesquite home. The FBI said Paddock had "no connection" to any international terrorist group, after the Islamic State earlier in the day claimed responsibility for the attack. Locals have flooded blood banks and donors have given more than $2 million to a GoFundMe for victims.
