In a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, 56 percent of respondents said they definitely will not vote to re-elect President Trump in 2020, while 28 percent said they definitely will vote for him and 14 percent said they would consider voting for him. This comes after a previous poll from NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist similarly found that 57 percent of voters said they definitely would vote against Trump when he is up for re-election next year, while 30 percent said they'll definitely vote for him, and 13 percent said they were unsure. The survey released Tuesday was conducted from Jan. 21 to Jan. 24, before the end of the partial government shutdown that, according a poll released last week, 53 percent of Americans blamed on Trump and congressional Republicans.
