Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld (R) announced on Monday that he is officially running for president, seeking to challenge President Trump for the GOP nomination in 2020. Weld formed an exploratory committee in February, but on Monday confirmed he would "seek to preserve what truly makes America great." Weld will campaign through Massachusetts over the next several days. "In these times of great political strife," Weld said in a statement, "when both major parties are entrenched in their 'win at all cost' battles, the voices of the American people are being ignored and our nation is suffering."
