Cindy McCain, wife of the late Sen. John McCain, shot down rumors on Wednesday that the McCain family planned to back former Vice President Joe Biden's expected presidential bid. Reports said the McCain family would endorse Biden, who was a longtime friend of McCain's, but Cindy McCain denied the rumors, saying she has "no intention of getting involved in presidential politics." McCain, who died last August, was long at odds with President Trump, but the McCain family's affiliation with the Republican Party would still make support for Biden a surprising development. Biden's campaign spokesperson said that "nothing has been communicated at this point" from Meghan McCain, the senator's daughter, about whether she plans to endorse Biden.
