The U.S. women's national soccer team remains untouched so far in the 2020 FIFA Women's World Cup. The team cruised past Chile, 3-0, on Sunday behind two goals from team captain Carli Lloyd. Julie Ertz also scored. The victory secured the U.S. a spot in the knockout rounds of the tournament. It also gave them a plus-16 goal differential after two games, meaning that as long as the team at least draws with Sweden next Thursday, they'll win their group, which would no doubt serve as a boon heading into the round of 16. Sweden, though, defeated Thailand on Sunday to remain unbeaten, as well; they can still claim the top spot from the U.S. with a victory.
