Lev Parnas told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow in an interview that aired Thursday night he's "more scared of our own Justice Department" than anyone else. Parnas, who helped Rudy Giuliani seek damaging information on Democrats in Ukraine, said he thinks President Trump is "like a cult leader" who really became "powerful" when Attorney General William Barr entered his orbit. Parnas told Maddow he was privy to Giuliani's conversations with Trump and several members of his administration, and he learned that Trump's personal lawyer Jay Sekulow "didn't want to be involved" with Giuliani's Ukraine scheme. Parnas also said former Energy Secretary Rick Perry was directed by Giuliani to tell Ukraine its U.S. aid was contingent on the country announcing it was investigating the Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
