Democratic presidential candidates participated in what turned out to be a chaotic debate Tuesday night in Charleston, South Carolina, making their final cases before voters go to the polls in Saturday's South Carolina primary, where former Vice President Joe Biden is favored. It was also the last debate before voters in 14 states, including California and Texas, head to the polls next Tuesday. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who has emerged as the national frontrunner after winning primaries in New Hampshire and Nevada, was the subject of some fierce criticism by his competitors, but the night was mostly defined by the candidates interrupting or talking over each other in a final push to get their messages out.
