A majority of Americans oppose businesses like gyms, dine-in restaurants, and movie theaters being allowed to reopen in their state right now, a Tuesday Washington Post-University of Maryland poll found. In the poll, which comes as many states have started to ease restrictions put in place during the coronavirus pandemic, 82 percent of respondents said movie theaters shouldn't be allowed to reopen yet, while 78 percent opposed reopening gyms, 74 percent opposed reopening dine-in restaurants, 69 percent opposed reopening barber shops and hair salons, and 66 percent opposed reopening retail shops, such as clothing stores. A majority also said gun stores, nail salons, and golf courses shouldn't be allowed to reopen yet, while 78 percent said they'd feel uncomfortable going out to eat at a restaurant.
