The House of Representatives introduced an article of impeachment against President Trump on Monday, charging him with "incitement of insurrection" related to his role in last week's riot at the Capitol. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) previously called on Vice President Mike Pence to convene the Cabinet and invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office, but said the House would move to impeach if Pence did not act. The article of impeachment accuses Trump of inciting a mob of his supporters that stormed the U.S. Capitol last week seeking to overturn President-elect Joe Biden's election victory. The House could vote on impeachment on Wednesday.
