Watch the dads from Full House tuck in a scared Jimmy Fallon
If you never watched the 1987-95 sitcom Full House, your first introduction to Danny Tanner, Uncle Joey Gladstone, and Uncle Jesse Katsopolis (but not, probably, the Olsen twins) was likely Dannon's Oikos Greek yogurt commercial set to air during the Super Bowl (but strategically leaked online beforehand). Or the reunion of the three actors — Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, and John Stamos, respectively — on The View and Good Morning America.
If you want to watch a sort of awkward primer on Full House, Good Morning America has you covered below. But the bizarro reunion of the three miraculously lightly aged actors reached its pop culture zenith on Wednesday night when they tucked Jimmy Fallon in on Late Night. The premise is that Fallon is nervous about leaving Late Night after five years to take over the storied Tonight Show from Jay Leno. (Stamos has a great joke about that.)
The concept is a little weak, but the charm level is high and the skit pokes enough fun at itself to be worth sitting through to the final song. It's a special treat for fans of the show, but there's something here for TV enthusiasts in general. Watch Fallon above (or the GMA awkwardness below):
